Women’s Libertadores 2026: Everything You Need to Know!

CONMEBOL has just taken a big step for women’s football! In a draw full of expectations held this Monday in Luque, Paraguay, the groups of Women’s Libertadores 2026 were defined. The tournament will take place in October, in Ecuador, and the Brazilian clubs that will shine in this competition are: Corinthians, Cruzeiro, and Palmeiras. Oh, and get your popcorn ready, because the broadcast will be on Canal UOL!

What to Expect from the Competition

The Women’s Libertadores will feature 16 participants and will run from 15 to 31 October. The dates and match times will still be released by CONMEBOL, so keep an eye out! The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.

One important note: the Colombian representatives have not yet been confirmed, since the country’s championship is in the semifinals. The teams still in contention are: Deportivo Cali, Atlético Nacional, Millonarios, and Santa Fe. The overall winner will be the head of Group D, while the runner-up will face Corinthians in the next stage.

Corinthians in the Spotlight

For those who don’t know, Corinthians is the current three-time champion of the Libertadores and still holds the record for the most titles in the tournament’s history, with an incredible six trophies! Five other Brazilian teams have also already made their mark in the competition:
