Understand the Agreement between Felipe Teresa and Marcelle Barbosa
Felipe Teresa and his ex-wife, Marcelle Barbosa, began to resolve their differences in a more civilized and reserved way. Both are in talks with their lawyers, seeking an agreement that protects, above all, the well-being of their child, Davi, who is only 1 year and 8 months old.
Privacy First
In a statement released this Monday, 14, Teresa and Marcelle’s lawyers said they intend to handle the case in a private setting. Both acknowledged that the latest events occurred at a time of intense emotional tension, which, of course, led to some more impulsive reactions and “in the heat of the moment” posts.
What Really Happened?
Now, seriously, the alleged assault Marcelle reported is still far from being clarified. The lawyers made it clear that any fact or responsibility will be handled by the authorities, if necessary, always ensuring the right to defense and due process.
Felipe also assured that he is taking care of the child, and for that reason, the parties agreed that it is essential to maintain the child’s privacy, image, and well-being. Therefore, no new details about the case should be disclosed.
The Public Accusation
Marcelle made the public complaint on Sunday, the 13, through a video on social media. She claimed that she was assaulted by Felipe during an argument on a trip from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, on 15 August. According to her account, the incident happened in the presence of their child, and things escalated when she threw away some clothes that Felipe would wear to a party, triggering the fight.
She alleged that the player would have kicked her, followed by a punch to her nose. You can imagine how tense the situation was, right? Marcelle said that out of fear, she went to a police station right after the incident, but formalized the complaint about 15 days later.
So far, the authorities have not confirmed the allegations, and Felipe has not addressed the case directly; he only mentioned that things should be clarified appropriately, without exposing the child.
Palmeiras’ Decision
After learning of the complaint, Palmeiras decided to remove Teresa from activities with the under-20 team. The club said that it does not condone any form of violence against women and that it will wait for the investigation before taking any further steps.
Felipe is one of Palmeiras’ standout players from the youth ranks. He finished the Under-20 Brasileirão as top scorer, with 15 goals, despite the team finishing second to Vasco. Altogether, he has tallied 16 goals in 31 matches in the under-20 season.
This is a topic that shows how emotions can affect everyday situations, especially when children are involved. Let’s keep an eye on how all of this unfolds!
