Gaviões da Fiel puts a curse on Corinthians at the CT: Rage that turned into punishment

The leadership of the Gaviões da Fiel showed up at CT Joaquim Grava, and the mission was clear: to demand accountability from both the squad and the board of Corinthians after their elimination in the Libertadores. However, what seemed like a meeting full of tension ended up bringing an unexpected feeling, as reporter Fábio Lázaro highlighted on the program De Primeira, on Canal UOL.

Right from the start, the conversation felt somewhat heavy, but as time went on, the players began to open up, and it became very clear to members of the organized fan group that the club’s atmosphere was weighed down from within.

"They arrived angry and left with pity," Lázaro said. He added that, after listening to the players’ venting, the initial proposal to demand accountability was replaced by a sense of concern about the situation inside the CT. The phrase that echoed was: “the atmosphere is bad inside the CT.”

Focus on the Board

Lázaro also mentioned that, in addition to the players, President Osmar Stabile, the coaching staff, and the board were present at the meeting. Still, the main pressure ultimately landed on the interim president.

"Patience really ran out," Lázaro stated. In the middle of the conversation, Gaviões president Alexandre Domênico made a point of bringing up the issue of patience (or better, the lack of it) regarding Stabile. It seems the tone of dissatisfaction changed quite a bit.

Politics and Football: A Perfect Storm

But it’s not only on the field that dissatisfaction is brewing. The mood regarding the club’s politics is also not great—especially now that we’re close to a general assembly that could bring important changes to the bylaws in an election year. Lázaro even predicted that Gaviões should show up at that assembly, and who knows, maybe even hold some demonstrations and protests.

"Tomorrow there’s an assembly that can reform some points of Corinthians’ bylaws, and Gaviões will be there," he said. He added that concerns both about results on the pitch and about what’s happening outside it are big.
